Caring Grace Home Care Agency was founded in 2012.

 

What geographical areas does Caring Grace cover?

Our office is located in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. Currently, we serve the following counties: Northampton, Lehigh, Carbon, Bucks, Berks, and Montgomery.

 

What is non-medical home care?

The non-medical home care is a service that helps assist those in need with activities of daily living (ADLs) so that they can continue living their life in comfort of their own home. Home care is a great alternative to assisted living or nursing home because it allows seniors to maintain their independence. By helping them meet their daily needs, non-medical home care brings peace of mind to the client and their family.​ When all of the daily tasks are completed by a professional, it allows family and friends to spend quality time with their loved ones. It also prevent seniors from having to move to senior housing earlier than necessary, since their daily needs are being met at home.

 

What specific services do you offer?

HOMEMAKING - This includes meal preparation & feeding, light housekeeping, and personall laundry care. As a specialty service, we also offer seasonal yard work such as lawn care or snow removal at an additional cost.

PERSONAL CARE - This includes bathing, dressing, toileting, continence care, grooming, shaving, medication reminders, hair care, mouth care, transfers, and ambulation.

COMPANIONSHIP - This includes help shopping, running errands, going to and from social events with friends or family, help with the mail, and corresponence coordination.

LIVE-IN - 24 hour live in provides you with safety and security. This includes 8 hours of sleep time.

RESPITE CARE - Let us offer some relief with our respite care. You can take a break while we take care of the rest.

How does Caring Grace Home Care Agency assign the caregivers?

We do Free in-home consultation, and provide a written “Service Plan” for each client based on an assessment of their needs. The service plan is developed in cooperation and agreement with the client / client’s representative. Based on the individual’s needs, we assign the best fit caregiver after matching the needs to the caregiver skills. If the client wants to choose someone else, we try our best to accommodate their needs.

 

Will the client receive care from the same caregiver?

We aim to build a long-term relationship with our clients. Therefore, we assign the same caregiver to the client in order for the client to get to know their caregiver and bond with them. Sometimes, the client needs a caregiver for many hours a day, or in different times during the day; in those cases, we might assign more than one caregiver in order to satisfy the client needs in the best way possible. We also perform regular assessments by management to monitor client’s satisfaction.

 

Are Caring Grace Home Care Agency caregivers insured and bonded?

All our caregivers are trained, competent, and licensed professionals. They are insured and bonded. All of our caregivers are employees of Caring Grace, and not sub-contracted or hired through an independent contractor. We perform stringent background screening for all our employees to guarantee excellent services for our clients.

 

Can the client discontinue the services?

Yes. We provide short-term and long-term services. In fact, we provide services in hourly basis based on the individual’s needs.

 

Can Caring Grace Home Care Agency care for someone in an assisted living facility?

Yes. Caring Grace Home Care Agency provides home care services for people in their homes, nursing homes, or hospitals. Our caregivers accompany our clients in order to provide the best service when they need it.

 

Do you offer transportation to doctors’ appointments?

Yes. One of our personal care services is taking your loved ones to and from their doctor appointments.

 

What will it cost me?

If you contact us today, we can help you set up an in-home consultation at no cost to you. We can assess which services would work best for you and set up an affordable rate accordingly. Since every client has different levels of needs, the cost may vary. After meeting with you, we provide a written "service plan" which is created with you and based off of your needs.

 

Are you Medicaid waiver approved?

Yes, we are Medicaid waiver approved.

 

Are we locked into a long-term service contract?

No. With Caring Grace, you are not locked into a contract. We can assist you for as a little as a couple of hours, or even 24 hours a day. We work with you to come up with the best planned schedule for you.

 

How will you find the right caregiver for my senior?

Caring Grace has caring and compassionate licensed professionals available for for all of our clients. Our client-to-caregiver matching service ensure compatibility. All of our caregivers have passed our screening process and background test. Best of all, we do NOT sub-contract our employees. Regular assessments ensure that your caregiver is the best match for you. We aim to build long-lasting relationships with our clients so it is important to us that you are comfortable with your caregiver.

 

How much does Caring Grace Home Care Agency services cost? Are they covered by insurance or Medicare?

Each service costs differently, and we charge per hour since we provide services in hourly basis. Each client gets a different service plan based on their specific needs and receive a detailed quote for the hours and the services they need. Therefore, the cost varies from a client to another. The home care services are usually not covered by insurance or Medicare. However, we are Medicaid waiver certified.

 

When can I get your in-home services?

Caring Grace has staff ready to assist you 24/7. Our schedule is flexible to work with what you need. Whether you need temporary home care or permanent, our services are there for you. We offer 24 hour live-in services as well as services for shorter periods of time. Each customer gets an individualized plan based on their capabilities and level of needs - we will work with you to create a plan together. Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

How quickly can we start?

Ideally, health care should be planned for in advance. However, we understand that you may need us on short notice, and we do our best to have someday available for you on-call if something were to come up. It is suggested to start looking into in-home care when help is needed with activities of daily living (such as eating, dressing, bathing, etc.).

I am writing this note for my mom(Carol) who 83 years old and blind. The caregivers at Caring Grace have helped her with her daily needs including bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming. They prepare her meals and assist her with feeding. They also perform light housekeeping and other household chores (dog, mail, phone calls). One of her favorite times of the day is when they read to her. "She was wonderful to my father Charles."

 

My father was a great man. He was kind and sweet. He was hospitalized due to the flu and the doctor refused to discharge him unless he would be living with someone instead of by himself. He moved into our house. My husband and I took care of him. There were times he refused to accept our help & he also became weaker. Therefore, we hired Caring Grace. Caring Grace provided transportation for my father for his medical appointments, errands, and to socially meet with his friends. Also, because of the assistance provided by Caring Grace, my father was able to maintain his quality of life during his last six months.
